Etsy, Inc. sponsors 2017 Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash

We are honored and thrilled to have Etsy, Inc. as our official sponsor for the Jingle Bash. As you can probably guess, we are huge fans of Etsy around here. Etsy was founded in 2005 and now boasts buyers and sellers from nearly every country in the world.

Etsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods. Etsy’s mission is to Keep Commerce Human. You can read more about the positive impact Etsy has on people and the planet.

As Etsy’s website reads: People make Etsy possible. We provide a meaningful space for sellers to turn their creative passions into opportunity. We enable buyers to discover unique items made with care. And we treat our employees and our community with respect. We’re here because the world needs less of the same and more of the special.

We couldn’t agree more and we are so excited to have Etsy’s support of our Bash. The Jingle Bash provides savvy shoppers with the opportunity to shop the best handmade artists from near and far.

The 2017 Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash will be at Eddie Deen's Ranch 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017. See y'all at the Bash!

Sponsor spotlight: The Pig and the Peacock

If you’re counting down until the Spring Bash, join the club! Sabrina and Jenny of The Pig and the Peacock said they can’t wait to get the party started on May 7. We are excited to check out their new scents.

The Pig and the Peacock’s handmade, skin-loving bath and body products are locally sourced and vegan. If you haven’t discovered them yet, be sure to visit their booth at the Bash.

Sabrina and Jenny joined us for a quick Q&A and a few hints on what to expect from The Pig and the Peacock on May 7 …

What are you most looking forward to for the 2017 Spring Bash?

We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces from previous shows, and getting to know new shoppers as they discover the bash.

Is your shop offering anything new/special/different at the Bash?

We have a few new scents in our most popular products like soaps, lotion bars, and candles. You’ll have to check out the booth to see if you can spot ’em!

What is your favorite part of prepping for the Spring Bash?

It’s really promoting the event, like making gift guides for our blog and IG posts. It gives us an opportunity to see all the amazing things that will be at the show and start our shopping lists!

What makes this event special for you?

The energy. From the shoppers to the vendors everyone is so upbeat that it really makes it a fun event to be a part of.

Regina Frydman, owner and designer, is the brainchild behind this super cute line of children's toys and gifts. However, Regal Cottage is truly a family affair. And some Etsy Dallas members are also product testers – just ask Rori of MadeByRori!

Regina makes all products in her home studio from eco-friendly base materials, such as vegan leather and organic fabrics. She’s made a bunch of new items this past season that are crazy adorable, so be sure to stop by her booth!

Hold onto your hats, ladies and gents, because another returning sponsor for this year's Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash is Freckled Chicken! The bus will be back!

Holly Hester, designer and owner, started Freckled Chicken in 2006. With over 25 years in the apparel industry, Holly found her true inspiration when her daughter, Avalon, was born. Ever since, she's been producing wholesome, comfortable children's clothing and accessories. Her designs are made for girls aged 12 months to 12 years, and the designs are seriously great. Holly has been working on releasing a whole new line of clothing, and there are some really unique designs coming to this year’s Bash.

You can see more of Holly's designs and sneak peeks on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and her blog. But even better – come to the Southside Events Center at Gilley's Dallas on November 21st from 11 am to 6 pm, and make sure to bring a reusable tote to haul all of your handmade goods home!

Sponsor Spotlight: InYourBones

As we gear up for this year's Jingle Bash, we are honored to continue showcasing this year's sponsors!

This year, InYourBones is returning as both a vendor and a sponsor. Gabriela, owner and designer, takes enormous pride in producing one-of-a-kind (and most importantly, FUN) pieces. Her shop name is entirely inspired by her drive to create. When asked by a teacher why she does what she does, she once replied, "Well, when you're passionate about what you do, it's not just in your blood, it's in your bones." This passion drives her to make some truly fun products, and her success has spawned a whole other pursuit – supporting the Texas Husky Rescue. Many of her shows’ proceeds go directly to the rescue.

Check her out on Facebook, Instagram, and her blog, and be sure to stop by her booth on November 21st! She'll be selling her wares from 11 am to 6 pm at the Southside Events Center at Gilley's Dallas.

Sponsor Spotlight: Regal Cottage

Sometimes, I feel like kids get all of the good stuff. Ever know what I mean? The fun clothes, the cool toys, the daytime napping... I do get jealous! Especially after seeing Regal Cottage's line of handmade organic toys and plushes. And you'll feel the same way, too, I'm sure, because Etsy Dallas is pleased to showcase Regal Cottage as one of this year's Spring Bash sponsors!

Regina Frydman, owner and designer, is the brainchild behind this super cute line of children's toys and gifts. However, Regal Cottage is truly a family affair. While Regina designs, illustrates, and sews all of her products, her husband loves woodworking and handles the bookkeeping, and their four kids are designated as the "in-house product review committee."

Regina makes all products in her home studio from eco-friendly base materials, such as vegan leather and organic fabrics. I know that I want to buy SO MANY things, including this Metallic Gold Moon Pillow:

I've always loved Russian Nesting Dolls, so this large plush is on my list:

And I'm pretty sure that anything with a Narwhal on it is automatically awesome:

You can see more of Regina's work on her Facebook page, her blog, and her Instagram account. And on May 2nd, swing by the Southside Events Center at Gilley's Dallas from 11 am to 6 pm to see her in person! Make sure to bring a reusable tote to transport your goodies home - we'll all be doing our part to reduce waste!

We'll see you on May 2nd!

Sponsor Spotlight: K8 Made

I don't know about you, but I'm getting seriously excited for this year's Etsy Dallas Spring Bash! There are SO MANY excellent artists who will be there, and I know I will be bringing my wallet to buy from fellow sellers when the show is over!

One of these sellers is K8 Made, who is one of this year's sponsors! I've loved Kate's creations for a long time, and I can't wait to support her at this year's Bash.

Kate Alfermann, owner and designer of K8 Made, creates gorgeous, modern accessories. Most prominent are her clutches, which are just beautiful. I've been eyeing this sparkly number for a while. And as anyone who knows me can attest, the sparlklier, the better!

And this Teal Chiffon Clutch is just gorgeous. A friend bought one at the Jingle Bash as a gift and the receiver was smitten!

If you're looking for something more casual, this wristlet is just the ticket. The Navajo fabric is fun, and so great for spring!

Follow Kate on Instagram and Twitter to see behind-the-scenes action and previews of products she will be selling at the Bash. You might even catch a glimpse of the custom work she's done for lucky bridal parties!

Come and see K8 Made in person at the Southside Events Center at Gilley's Dallas on May 2nd from 11 am to 6 pm. Make sure to bring a reusable tote to haul all of your new goodies home! We can't wait to see you!

Our newest sponsor is In Your Bones, an adorable shop filled with unique textiles for all aspects of your everyday life. Sponsor Spotlight: Dallas Child

As you may or may not have heard, the Etsy Dallas Spring Bash is almost upon us! And we could not have done it without the support of our incredible sponsors. We are so pleased to welcome back some familiar companies, including DFWChild, a longtime sponsor of Etsy Dallas events!

DFWChild is a fantastic resource for DFW and North Texas parents. They publish three completely free magazines for local parents featuring information on all aspects of parenting from prenatal to adolescence. Keep your eyes peeled around town for your local publication: DallasChild, FortWorthChild, and NorthTexasChild. And in case you aren't able to pick one up in person, each edition is available online for round-the-clock access!

You can also find other child-related content online. Here are some (but definitely not all!) examples of parenting resources they offer:

  • The Find-A-Doctor page, where you can find a “Mom-Approved” physician in your area, which is especially wonderful if you’re new to the DFW area;
  • A Travel section, where you can find recommendations for vacations that are fun for the whole family, as well as advice for travelling with kids;
  • DFWEverything, a collection of resources geared especially to parents. Find everything from child care to party resources and information on government support; and
In addition to all of this, they offer special editions geared toward specific parents, including:
  • Thrive: a quarterly publication focusing on parents or caretakers of children with learning differences and/or special needs; and
  • DallasChildBaby: a biannual issue geared toward new and expectant parents.

For additional information and up-to-the-moment local happenings, check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google+

Also be sure and stop by their table at the Spring Bash! They'll be at the Southside Events Center at Gilley's Dallas on May 2nd from 11 am to 6 pm. We can't wait to see you there!

Etsy Dallas will be posting artist previews and up-to-the-minute updates on our Instagram account and will be using the hashtags #etsydallas and #2015springbash, so make sure you're following us!

Sponsor Spotlight: Dallas Child

It is my pleasure to announce Dallas Child Magazine is one of our fabulous sponsors for the 4th Annual Spring Bash. As a Mom of 4, Dallas Child magazine has been a favorite on my nightstand for a long time.

From the moment Dallas area Moms find out they are expecting, they know Dallas Child is the magazine to turn to for all things baby and kid in Dallas. And here’s why:

Best for Families features help you locate the best of everything from "Best Maternity Store" to "Best Place to Take Tots When You Want Them to Take a Nap."

When the kids are bored, this list of area activities has lots of great ideas that I bet you haven’t thought of yet.

Who needs Real Housewives when you can read all about the inspiring, really Real Moms right here in Dallas?

And my favorite, find the best Kids Eat Free restaurants in town any night of the week.

Oh, and the birthday parties…don’t get me started on the birthday parties!

In addition to all of these great finds about town, Dallas Child also has spot-on fashion trends for tots and Moms, as well as, thought provoking articles full of helpful parenting advice.

You can find this award-winning free monthly parenting magazine all around town at book stores, doctors offices, grocery stores, fitness centers, childcare facilities and libraries. You can also read the current and back issues online at DallasChild.com. And, you can stay in touch by following along on Facebook and their blog.

The Bash Bag: Full Reveal

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (the Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash), and, for the first fifty people in line for the Bash, it’s even more wonderful.  Why?  Because the first 50 people in the door of the Bash walk away with an awesomely-designed- and terrifically-crammed-full-of-awesome-goodies-so-cool-your-eyes-will-water wonder called the Bash Bag.  Yes, Etsy Dallas Bash Bags™ are stuff of legend.  In 2009 shoppers arrived three hours early to stand in line.  And this year, two sweet ladies arrived at 8:30 with their lawn chairs. That’s right.  8:30am.

Tefi revealing Dowdy Studio's Bash Bag design at the Deco Party
There are so many goodies in the bag this year, I couldn’t fit them all in one picture!  So take a peek below at the awesome generosity of our Bash Bag sponsors.  Even if you didn’t score a bag at the Bash (or, gasp!, weren’t able to make it to the Bash), you can maybe, just maybe, score some of the same awesome gifties.
